It’s time to think about the first foliar application for your winter rapeseed!
Our goal is to provide you with the most useful recipe and go through all of its components in detail.
1️⃣ First Component – Basic Feeding:
- Apply complex micro-fertilizers for compensating nutrient deficiency, especially Phosphorus and Potassium, to support root development and provide additional carbohydrate accumulation for better wintering. The NOVALON FOLIAR product line, with its high concentration of macro and micro-elements, extended action through adjuvants, and compatibility with other plant protection products, is an ideal choice.
- Optimal rate: 1-1.5 kg/ha.
If there’s a need to increase micronutrient concentration for future compensation and better plant preparation for wintering, the mixture can be supplemented with the micro-fertilizer POWERFOL OIL CROP, a balanced formula specially designed for oil crops.
- Effective at a rate of 1 L/ha.
2️⃣ Second Component – Stimulation:
- Apply a biostimulant based on seaweed extract, a natural source of bioactive compounds. It contains phytohormones, polyamines, polysaccharides, amino acids, and other beneficial components for plant stimulation, preparing for winter, and boosting immunity. The combination of this bio-cocktail with Phosphorus, Zinc, and Boron, present in the POWERFOL UNDARIA stimulant, is highly effective. Emphasis on auxins will promote the development of a strong and branched root system, and the high concentration of polysaccharides will ensure better wintering.
- Recommended rate: 0.5 L/ha.
3️⃣ Third Component – Boron Nutrition:
- Boron is an essential component of autumn feeding. It strengthens the root system, enhances sugar accumulation in the root collar, increases tissue elasticity, reducing the risk of root collar cracking, and improves the frost and winter resistance of winter rapeseed. Here, SPEEDFOL B comes into play. It has a low pH level, which helps acidify the working solution, a high concentration of Boron (170 g/kg), and, thanks to adjuvants, provides prolonged action even at a rate of 0.8-1 kg/ha.
